Children's Picture Books
For babies, toddlers and early readers. Birth - around 8 years old. Usually no more than 32 pages.
Children's Board Books
Usually 6 double spreads. For babies and toddlers. Thick, near indestructible pages!
Educational Books
For early readers to teens. Page amounts will vary depending on targeted age range.
Front & Back Cover Designs
Creating a novel for 7-12 or teens? Your book will likely be predominantly text based and you may only need a front/back cover. I can design front and back covers for your novel.
Layout
I can add your text to illustrations, blurb, front cover, price, ISBN barcode and spine.
Print ready for publication
I can prepare and set up your finished book/illustrations for commercial publishing. (Your chosen printer will need to supply this information early on in the process).
What makes me different?
I'm a professionally trained illustrator from one of the top art colleges in the UK. I know my stuff.
Absolutely no AI is used in any part of my processes. There are many 'illustrators' selling their services only for disappointed authors to find out they have got what they have paid for... a miss mash of plagiarised illustrations trawled from hardworking illustrators sites. I take copyright seriously. No shortcuts here.
I do not work with authors who use GenAI. Please do not submit manuscripts that are not 100% your own writing.

Picture Book Cost Calculator
Every picture book is unique and may require a differing number of single spreads and double spreads, number of pages, and the complexity of the illustrations required can also vary in each book.
To provide you with a meaningful quote, I need to find out the following information from you :
• What is your picture book about? What will feature in it? Characters? Animals? Locations?
• How large are the illustrations? Spot illustrations? 1/2 page? Single page? Double page spread? How many illustrations do you require?
• What is the size of the picture book?
• Where will the book be distributed (UK/worldwide)?
• Will the images be used solely in the book, or in other places/products?
• What is your budget?
This calculator should be used only as a rough guide to help you see an estimated cost. Actual illustration costs will differ depending on your requirements (see above).
Absolutely no GenAI is used at any point in my work, at any stage. I am a professional, published, illustrator and take great care in drawing, and creating, high quality illustrations for publication. There are no short cuts.
Please be cautious of any illustrator who is offering to illustrate your book cheaply!
